I finished Maurice last night and it was pretty glorious. I still don't know why I liked it so much, but I just REALLY GOT it. E. M. Forster's own little ending note was also pretty amazing, talking about how he's only shown it to a few people and all, and how he originally had a totally different ending but it was "universally disliked."
